Although Eco Technology Ltd supply specialist membrane systems for a
wide range of effluents, we have particular expertise in treating industrial
oily effluents.
Eco Technology Limited have successfully installed and
operated "Ecomem" systems for waste treatment facilities to treat mixed
streams of soluble oil, coolants, oily effluent and wash waters.
Mobile treatment units have now been produced
capable of treating up to 13,500 litres of oily effluent a day, in situ,
on our customers' own sites.
Contract operated or outright sale systems
can be supplied to treat from as little as 750
litres per day to as much as 10,000 litres per hour. Typical
single stage UF permeate will have a COD of 10 - 15,000 mg/l. Combined
stage system permeate will typically be below 3,000 mg/l. Waste disposal
costs can be dramatically reduced, with immediate savings on off site
tanker transport and treatment charges.

Contaminant removal typically includes bacteria, oil,
dyes, pigments, surfactants, colloids and minerals. Combined systems
using RO allow removal of salts, metal ions, and other organic constituents
that have a molecular weight of greater than 150-250 daltons. Single
stage systems will typically remove bacteria and low level suspended
solids from a wide range of effluent with combined stage systems producing
crystal clear permeate suitable for virtually any foul drain discharge
and potentially for re-use as process water.
Ecomem have recently released the Series
1000 UF system whihc has a treatment capacity of up to 1000 litres
per day. Retailing at under £7500
the system is ideal for small to medium sized organisations. The
system can be used to treat liquid waste from 205 litre drums, 1000
litre IBCs and bulk storage tanks. Suitable effluents include semi synthetic
coolants, soluble oils, wash water wastes, and water based paint wastes.
"Ecomem" systems are designed to be
semi-automated giving optimum reliability, performance and membrane
life, whilst requiring minimal operator involvement or maintenance.
