The technology behind Super F products
was finally developed in 1996 as a result of years of painstaking
research in to odour control for the petroleum refining industry.
The main thrust of the research was aimed at removing the particularly
offensive odours of sulphur, mercaptans and hydrogen sulphide
associated with industrial fuel products.
One particular complex of fragrances and essential
oils, once mixed to the fuel, was found to reduce odours by more
than 50%. Work continued on the formula and in July of the same
year the odour was reduced by more than 80%. The first product,
named SF 96 was sold to the producer of the fuel and is still
being supplied today.
From this industry, the applications of Super
F products extended into the waste water and paper industries,
agriculture, landfill sites, paint shops, breweries, scrubber
processes, wood preservative and styrene manufacturers to name
but a few! The success of these products has been world wide,
including Canada, Korea, Hungary, Venezuela and Europe (including
the UK, France, Portugal, Spain and Belgium).
